How To Use

Melt it slowly before adding it to any DIY skincare product recipe. Our kokum butter is meant for topical application only and should not be consumed. 

For cold process and hot process soap making: Mix it with other fats like jojoba oil, coconut oil or squalene oil in the fat addition phase in soap making recipe. Use up to 16% of total oil/fat content in handmade soaps. 

In Body Butters: Mix up to 25% of kokum butter with softer butters like aloe butter after melting. Add essential oils for body butters to scent it naturally. 

In lip balms: Use up to 18% with jojoba oil, castor oil, rose essential oil or lavender essential oil for making lip balms. 

Kokum Butter Comedogenic Rating

Our natural kokum butter has a comedogenic rating of 1. This means it doesn't clog pores and can be used for all skin types. It has a mostly non-greasy texture and doesn't make skin look oily.
