Aromachology's pure genet (broom) absolute is extracted from the genet flower which is also known as the broom flower in some parts of the world. 

The Genet flower, also known as the Cape Honeysuckle, is a flowering plant that is native to South Africa but can be found in other parts of the world as well. It is a woody vine or shrub that can grow up to 6 meters in height, with green leaves that are divided into small leaflets.

The Genet flower blooms in clusters, with each cluster containing several tubular-shaped flowers that are typically bright orange or yellow in colour. The flowers are about 5 centimetres long and have four lobes, with the upper lobe being the largest. The flowers contain sweet nectar that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
