Oakmoss Absolute Overview
Oakmoss absolute oil is a potent extract with a rich and earthy aroma. It is obtained from the lichen Evernia prunastri which belongs to the Parmeliaceae family. It is native to Europe but now it is being cultivated in various other regions of the world. The smell will remind you of European forests, and will take you back to your camping days. The woody and mossy scent is perfect to add to various perfumes. It is mostly used as base note.
Oakmoss absolute essential oil is a versatile ingredient for perfumers and blends well with other fragrances like bergamot, neroli, lavender, clary sage etc.
