Calendula Absolute Oil

Our Calendula Absolute Oil is a potent extract from Calendula Officinals and captures its true aroma profile. Its scent is different from calendula-infused oil which is more subtle and harmonious. Calendula absolute oil has a layered aroma with strong herbaceous notes in the first smell. It slowly reveals a more floral and delicate scent, however, its floral notes are not like that of geranium essential oil or tuberose absolute oil. There is a hint of earthiness in this absolute oil's floral bouquet. 

In perfumery, we advise using calendula absolute oil as a middle or base note to introduce an earthy yet floral aroma. It also exhibits fixative properties which make the smell last longer on the skin. Though, it is not common for perfumers to use calendula absolute oil in mainstream perfumery, it has created its significance in artisan and experimental perfumery. 

Calendula is a small flowering plant, also popularly called as Marigold. It gives large yellow flowers and is usually quite bushy. Mostly found in Southeast Asia and Mediterranean regions, calendula is now cultivated in warmer regions of Europe as well.
